Melrose
Primary Parent Council is a partnership between the teachers and parents. The Parent Council plays an active role in supporting and advancing
children’s learning, development and welfare.
As a parent
or carer of a child or children attending the school you are automatically
a member of the Melrose Primary Parent Forum. You are welcome to attend
any of the Parent Council meetings to find out what the Parent Council do
and see if you’d like to be involved. These will take place on the first
Wednesday of every month from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The meetings are an opportunity to raise issues of concern or interest to
you, help shape the development of the school and your child’s learning
and to find out more about the school.
If committee
meetings are not for you, there are a number of other ways you can
participate in the Parent Council. Any offer of
help is always much appreciated. It is through your collective effort that
the Parent Council can continue to be successful. The ongoing support from
the local community and local businesses through donations, prizes and the
loan of equipment has contributed to this success.
