Melrose Primary Parent Council is a partnership between the teachers and parents. The Parent Council plays an active role in supporting and advancing children’s learning, development and welfare.

As a parent or carer of a child or children attending the school you are automatically a member of the Melrose Primary Parent Forum. You are welcome to attend any of the Parent Council meetings to find out what the Parent Council do and see if you’d like to be involved. These will take place on the first Wednesday of every month from 6.30pm to 8pm. The meetings are an opportunity to raise issues of concern or interest to you, help shape the development of the school and your child’s learning and to find out more about the school.

If committee meetings are not for you, there are a number of other ways you can participate in the Parent Council. Any offer of help is always much appreciated. It is through your collective effort that the Parent Council can continue to be successful. The ongoing support from the local community and local businesses through donations, prizes and the loan of equipment has contributed to this success.
